With their uncompromising approach, Britain’s Cloudmakers Trio effortlessly marry the complex with the accessible, the improvised with the composed. They showcase original music that lies somewhere between New York’s downtown sound and the modern European tradition. As a result, their music defies categorization, drawing influences from a diverse range of traditions, featuring the underexploited format of the vibraphone trio. Their second album, Abstract Forces, was named an “Album of the Year” in 2014 by both Downbeat and Jazzwise Magazine.
