Swap-O-Rama-Rama (SORR) is a clothing swap combined with "creation stations", staffed by local artists & makers, where participants learn skills to modify, alter or embellish their "new" clothes. Swap-O-Rama-Rama is about inspiring people to see themselves as creators instead of consumers - and all the good things that ripple out from that, like building community connections, developing skills and reducing waste. SORR is a commerce-free zone where clothes, materials & knowledge are shared freely. The event wraps up with a fashion show of creations made by participants and local upcycled clothing designers.

Swap-O-Rama-Rama is presented by the Nanaimo Arts Council, with the support of the Nanaimo Recycling Exchange, Mid Island Co-op, St. Andrews United Church, Serge & Sew, Farbricland and Senini Graphics.
