SUMMER 2015 CREATIVE DRAMA AND PLAY-BUILDING FOR CHILDREN AT THE MAC AUGUST 17 - 22, 2015 (Parksville, BC) The McMillan Arts Centre (MAC) in downtown Parksville is excited to offer a six-day summer drama camp for children ages 8-12 years old. Running August 17-22, 2015 from 9:00am – 12:00pm. Cost is $100.00. All supplies will be provided and there will be no extra costs involved. This workshop is limited to 20 participants so register early.
=0D=0A=The participants will cooperatively build a drama piece together and gain confidence to perform for others. Children will work actively for five days in class and then share their work on the final day, Saturday August 22, 2015 for friends and family. Drama instructor Linda Watson, who has over 25 years of experience in the public school system as a drama/theatre director, will be leading the participants. The MAC is proud to have Linda on board for this camp. Participants will be involved in drama games, improvisations and story building activities to create a drama presentation based on a short-story or poem. The camp will focus on creating a presentation piece for sharing with their family and friends.
