Located in the heart of Strathcona, at the south end of Buttle Lake, this is a true wilderness festival with the only amenities being water and washrooms. People need to pack a lunch, a water bottle and to bring everything they need for the day and any activities they wish to participate in. This is also a Leave No Trace event, so people should be prepared to take home everything they bring, including garbage.=0D=0A=

The entire day is being offered free to the public, including bus transportation from Courtenay and Campbell River; seat reservations can be made through our website. The Friends of Strathcona are funding the event, and community organizations and individuals are donating their time and expertise to run the individual activities. To help offset costs, donations can be made to the Friends of Strathcona Park through the website or at the festival. =0D=0A=

This event will also be a send off for the Bedwell Centennial Trail Workparty, a group of volunteers who will be working on a trail between Bedwell Lake and Ashwood Creek as part of their ongoing effort to re-establish an ocean to alpine route in Strathcona Park.=0D=0A=
