DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:This program is designed for youth (ages 11-16yrs) who are interested in spring racing canoes & kayaks.  This course challenges participants to develop the fundamental sport skills of balance, propulsion and boat control. Team boats and singles will be used to advance skills taught by our certified coaches: who are or were athletes themselves.  Upon completion of this course, participants are invited to participate in the Club's Jr. Dev't Racing Team to attend regattas, daily practice sessions, or year round paddling program.  Classes run twice weekly on Monday & Wednesday from 4-6pm at Long Lake.  Registration can be made by quoting barcode 108926 to City of Nanaimo Parks, Recreation and Culture staff in person, by phone, or online at ireg.nanaimo.ca.
