DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Celebrate summer with SOUL. Join the with Society for Organic Urban Land Care as we explore some of Victoria's wonderful organic gardens. See the diversity of organic gardening in action – new and old, private and public, wild and orderly, edible and ornamental. Despite their differences above-ground, each garden is built on organic practices for healthy soil biology. The gardens on the tour include healing herbs, fruit tree guilds, a blueberry bog, raised bed gardening, native plantings, pollinator gardens, chickens, and much more.=0D=0A=

Esquimalt: A Permaculture-style urban homestead, featuring native and bee-friendly gardens, a blueberry bog, and chickens. This site shows how a garden can go from lawn to lush in a few short years with a combination of smart observation and embracing nature's suggestions.=0D=0A=
=0D=0A=
Vic West: A healing centre and herb garden carved out of a long-overgrown rose garden, featuring trellised rose vines, culinary and medicinal herbs, and chickens. With nature's help and a lot of smart gardening, this site has gone from wild to welcoming in less than a year.=0D=0A=
=0D=0A=
Fernwood: A volunteer supported public urban food forest, built from scratch on an abandoned parking lot. This volunteer-managed site features edible perennials and guild plantings, and is an inspiring model of how public space can serve and be served by the community.=0D=0A=
=0D=0A=
Fairfield: Lawn can be organic! This family home garden is a study in diversity of functions - lawns, veggie garden, edible and ornamental perennials, and a greenhouse all live in peace. The home of a professional landscaper, this site is full of creative uses of "refugee" plants left over from other gardens.
