Sun, Apr 12th, 7-9pm, Social - 2015 Yuri’s Night / World Space Party & SPCA Fundraiser Since 2001, every April 12 has been celebrated around the world as Yuri's Night to commemorate the 1961 flight of the first human in space, Yuri Gagarin.
=0D=0A=STARFLEET Alberni Deep Space Port brings Yuri's Night World Space Party to Char's Landing on Sunday April 12. From 7 - 9 pm, mix n' mingle with space-themed beverages and snacks, videos, music, and a costume contest. Dress up as Galileo or other historical figures.
=0D=0A=Come as Sputnik or an astronaut. Boldly go as a character from Star Trek, Star Wars, Babylon 5, etc.

Come as a hologram of your 21st-century self -- as you are.
(Licensed premises - 19 years and up). No cover charge - entry by donation to the SPCA. Birthday cake will be served at 8:00 pm to celebrate Charlene Patterson's space-age birthday on April 12, 1961. Be sure to sign the Birthday Book for Char, who has contributed so much to the Southport galaxy.
