DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:<p>The members of Sidecar live within a few blocks of each other in the heart of Fernwood. For the last few years, they have made a ritual of playing together in Jeanne's living room on Sunday afternoons. Sidecar has an unfettered sound, drawing from folk, blues, old-time country, and pop.<br /> <br />Harmony and simple arrangements are the key ingredients, and the songs are mainly originals, peppered by a wide variety of covers ranging from Iris Dement to P.J. Harvey. Sidecar released their first album, Flight 1, in February of 2016.<br /> <br />The trio is made up of Jeanne Tolmie on acoustic guitar and lead vocals; Jasper DeGroot on percussion box, accordion, banjo and backup vocals; and Aaron Ellingsen on fiddle, mandolin, and backup vocals. Their songs speak to matters of the heart and conjure scenes of the everyday.</p>
