About Connie: I began with stained glass, starting with the Tiffany style copper foil method, for almost 20 years before venturing into mosaics in 2012. Years of accumulating stained glass scraps left me with boxes that moved seven or eight times around the province but no desire to throw them out so my career in mosaics began in an effort to use them.
=0D=0A=

I started making mosaic on beach stones collected around the island and one day spotted an article online talking about tumbling stained glass to make it look like beach glass. I bought my first tumbler and started recycling my scraps, first for use on stones, then I moved on to windows.
=0D=0A=

With so many curious about my technique, I decided to go back to my first love, teaching, and created a SeaGlass Frame workshop that anyone could do. I love sharing my knowledge and watching the most intimidated, non-artist soul gain confidence and leave with a beautiful piece they are proud to display.
=0D=0A=

My work can be found at gift shops in BC, AB and Washington State as well as at her home based studio and classroom in Langford. I teach workshops in Sooke, Nanaimo as well as Victoria and will go wherever there is a venue and willing students.
=0D=0A=
