DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:
It's been a long year in the making, but Sarah Elizabeth Music is finally ready to release her EP The Milkman's Daughter to the world. Come join her for a night of songs and stories, joined with amazing special guest and violin-looper extraordinaire Lara Kroeker Music.

About the performers:

Sarah Elizabeth has been singing songs since she was knee-high to a grasshopper, as her grandmother would say. Growing up in the isolated, coastal town of Powell River, Sarah turned to music at a young age to pass the dreary and rain-soaked winters.

After years of performing with choral groups and in musical theatre, she picked up a guitar in university and began crafting her own tunes, as well as wandering across the globe, from Mexico to South East Asia to Halifax to Africa and to Northern BC. Her songs also drift from the humorous to the heart-breaking. Sometimes there's a ukulele thrown in the mix… and, on occasion, a glockenspiel.

In 2014, Sarah has plans to release her EP titled the Milkman's Daughter, filled with songs of travel, wanderlust, her grandparents, and even, lemons.

www.sarahelizabethmusic.blogspot.com

Lara builds song structures and sounds by looping phrases using her voice, violin and looping station. She also hosts the Eastside Music Series.

Lara has played with indie groups for a long, long time (Attics and Cellars, Sparrow, The Beauticians, The Insomniacs, The Mudlarks) and played backup for k-os on the George Stroumboulopoulos show and Odetta.

She also hosts a bi-monthly live concert series called the "Eastside Music Series". This started from a recording party where musicians would come from different communities, genres, ages and backgrounds and record a few songs in one take with CBC Engineer Derek Bird. The recording was a gift to each other and had no other purpose. It has evolved into a night of live music that hosts many of these same musicians.

http://larakroeker.com/
