<p>Cycling the Silk Road first in western China and then from Turkey to the Himalayas &ndash; and crossing all kinds of borders &ndash; Harris&rsquo; book weaves adventure and deep reflection with the history of science and exploration.</p>=0D=0A=
<p>Harris has also written for The Walrus, Canadian Geographic, and The Georgia Review, among other publications. A Rhodes scholar and Morehead-Cain scholar, she has won several awards for her nonfiction writing. She lives off-grid in a log cabin in Atlin, British Columbia.</p>=0D=0A=
