REENIE (Irena Perkovic) is a Toronto-based indie Soul-Pop artist, who is excited to be performing a "homecoming" CD release show of her latest album, "Parallel Place," in Victoria, BC. Reenie’s sophomore album, Parallel Place, was recorded in Toronto at the renowned Canterbury Studios with Jeremy Darby (Sara Bareilles, the Barenaked Ladies.) After graduating from music composition at UVic, and honing her skills in such legendary Toronto venues as the Horseshoe Tavern, the Drake Underground & the Gladstone Hotel, she has learned to combine jazz harmony with catchy melodic vocals, composing songs with a soulful edge that is fun and introspective all at once.
