This 2-day course will allow you to safely and effectively teach both group and private Yoga classes for kids and youths, ages 2 to 17. Children are not miniature adults, but like adults, they can glean considerable benefit from the practice of Yoga. As individuals, children can be quite varied in their developmental aspects. These milestones affect what practices are appropriate for a child, or not. This course will therefore look at general stages of development as they are linked to age. We will then explore the practices to not only support a stage of development, but also to prepare the child for the following stages. We will cover ways of working with children to maximize health and well-being while respecting the limitations of their bodies, minds, and spirits. 

The Red Door Yoga Yoga for Kids and Youths course is approved by the Yoga Alliance for 16 Continuing Education Credits.
