<p><strong> Jude Neale</strong>&nbsp;is a Canadian poet, vocalist, spoken and word performer. Jude publishes frequently in journals, anthologies, and e-zines. She&nbsp;was shortlisted,&nbsp;for many international competitions including&nbsp;the&nbsp;Gregory O&rsquo;Donoghue International Poetry Prize&nbsp;(Ireland),&nbsp;The&nbsp;&nbsp;International Poetic Republic Poetry&nbsp;Prize&nbsp;(U.K),The Mary Chalmers Smith Poetry Prize(UK), and the Carers International Poetry Prize (UK). Jude's last book,&nbsp;A Quiet Coming of Light, A Poetic Memoir (leaf press),&nbsp;was a finalist for the 2015&nbsp;Pat Lowther Memorial Award,&nbsp;eight of its poems were shortlisted for the Magpie Award, Judged by George McWhirter, Vancouver's first Poet Laureate&nbsp;and two of its poems were nominated for the coveted Pushcart Prize (US) by two different publishers. Her book,&nbsp;'Splendid in its Silence', a SPM Prize winner, was published in the UK in April. One of her poems from this edition was chosen by Britain's Poet Laureate to ride with thirty-three other winners around the Channel Islands on public transit for a year.</p>=0D=0A=
<p><strong> D.S. Stymeist&rsquo;s&nbsp;</strong>debut collection,&nbsp;'The Bone Weir', was published by Frontenac House in 2016.&nbsp;His poems have appeared in numerous magazines, including&nbsp;The Antigonish Review,&nbsp;Prairie Fire,&nbsp;Dalhousie Review,&nbsp;and&nbsp;The Fiddlehead. His&nbsp;work was featured as the Parliamentary Poet Laureate&rsquo;s Poem of the Month and was short-listed for&nbsp;Vallum&rsquo;s poetry prize. He&nbsp;teaches poetics, crime fiction, and aboriginal literature at Carleton University. He&nbsp;grew up as a non-indigenous member of a mixed family on O-Pipon-Na-Piwin Cree Nation,&nbsp;is the editor and founder of the micro-press,&nbsp;Textualis, and&nbsp;is&nbsp;the current vice-president of VERSe Ottawa, which runs VerseFest, Ottawa&rsquo;s annual poetry festival.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
