=0D=0A=Each year, over 1000 guests meet and talk with the artists, and take in one of the most impressive collections of artistic talent to be found under one roof anywhere in Canada.
=0D=0A=Artists give demonstrations, participate in panel discussions, and create beautiful works in the resort's gardens, giving the public a rare opportunity to watch and learn from the masters. This exciting and one-of-a-kind event celebrates prominent British Columbian artists in a beautiful resort setting.
=0D=0A=For over twenty years a familiar feeling has descended upon us as we enter the lobby of the historic Painter’s Lodge on the last weekend in May. Overcome with excitement and nostalgia as we greet our old friends and welcome new ones, we inherently recognize that something remarkable is about to transpire.
It is difficult to comprehend that it was so long ago when the idea for Painters at Painter’s was born. As we gather once again to celebrate British Columbia’s finest artistic talent, we know that for two decades now this event has created delightful, unexpected, and unforgettable moments.
The joy of witnessing one magical brush stroke that makes a painting come alive.
An inspiration that arises while quietly reflecting upon the ever changing sea. A new friendship created with an artist you have long admired. These are the moments that Painters at Painter’s are made of – and we cherish each and every one of them.
Over the years we have made many wonderful friends, and sadly lost others who were very dear to us. But the true essence of the event lives on thanks to the generosity, creativity and passion of the artists in residence.
On this, our 21st anniversary, we express our deepest gratitude to the artists who honour us with their company. It is truly a blessing to have all of this extraordinary talent under one roof, and it is made all the more memorable through the camaraderie and spirit of each and every person in attendance. We are once again overwhelmed by the artistic brilliance that surrounds us…. The Masters are here.
