DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:On February 11, 30 single men and women will gather at Cabin 12 restaurant in downtown Victoria. Over the course of the evening, they will each have the chance to meet for five brief minutes – hopefully just long enough to figure out whether or not they would like to meet again! It's a bit anxiety-provoking, sure – but we're hoping you'll take that risk in exchange for the hilarious, fascinating, and genuinely sweet moments that the night could hold! There will be food, drink, music, and door prizes. Our lovely hosts will ensure that the night itself proceeds smoothly, and who knows – you may just find yourself with the potential for a second date or two! The cost to register is $35. Registration includes a complimentary drink and appetizer.=0D=0A=

THE CAUSE: As most people now know, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck Haiti on January 12; hundreds of thousands of people were killed. Millions of people are now in need of food, water, shelter, and medical aid. The world community has shown its concern for the survivors of this disaster – many countries, organizations, and individuals have given generously – but the need for financial assistance remains urgent. We don't mean to make light of this tragedy by using a lighthearted event to fundraise. Rather, we want to celebrate the generosity and care that we know is in people's hearts, and perhaps to provide a fresh motivation to give. 100% of profits from this event will be donated to Canada's Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund via the Canada Red Cross. The government will match our donation – so we're getting maximum bang for our bucks!=0D=0A=

HOW IT WORKS: We are aiming to register 15 men and 15 women, in their mid-twenties to mid-thirties. Once we fill up of one gender or the other, we'll have to start turning people away, so – register now! On February 11, you will arrive at the venue, register, grab a drink (if you choose), and enjoy the music for a little while. You'll get a card telling you whom you will meet during the night. At the end of the evening, you will be given a CONFIDENTIAL match card where you check "yes" or "no" for each person you met. If you check "yes" to a person who also checked you, then you will both be sent each other's e-mail address the following day. We're really sorry, but we don't have the logistical prowess to manage girl-girl or guy-guy dates ... so please only register if you are interested in meeting people of the opposite sex.=0D=0A=
