<p>William Konchak will discuss what Emerson and Heidegger had to say about thought &ndash; its nature and its potential effects on personal development. In particular, he will examine optimism in Emerson&rsquo;s thought and how it may be a valuable means for fostering ideals.</p>=0D=0A=
<p>William Konchak holds graduate degrees in three separate, but interconnected fields: philosophy, environmental policy, and transpersonal psychology. He is pursuing his PhD in philosophy at the University of Iceland, where he also teaches environmental ethics.
