=0D=0A=Victoria BC’s Jesse Roper is magnetic. With an explosive live show, the genuine quality and charisma of his versatile blues rooted soul, rock and country funk is as approachable as his charm. Since the release of his sophomore album ‘Red Bird’ in 2015, Jesse Roper has been riding a surge of momentum that has kept the wheels on his faithful van turning as he becomes a major festival draw, securing direct support to artists including Keith Urban, Steve Earle, Booker T, Beth Hart, Lee Brice, Colin James and Spirit of the West. Besides his success with touring, Jesse Roper was chosen to compete at the 2016 International Blues Challenge in Memphis TN and became a finalist favorite in BC’s Peak Performance Project. The nostalgic may appreciate his throw-back vibe akin to Stevie Ray Vaughan and vintage Texas blues, however, Jesse Roper’s music remains current, his fiery energy captivating audiences while his knock out live performance blows them away.
=0D=0A=2017 is set to be another busy year for Roper and his band mates. Having just finished recording at Vancouver’s famous Warehouse Studio with UK producer Ian Davenport. The new album, titled “Access to Infinity”, gives a modern treatment to the blues a la Jack White and The Black Keys. Due out spring 2017, expect to see Jesse performing at venues and festivals across the country.
=0D=0A=About the FHLPA The Filberg Heritage Lodge and Park Association (FHLPA) is a non-profit organization established in 1979, which has the responsibility of maintaining and restoring the heritage lodge and outbuildings in the park. All moneys raised by the FHLPA from membership sales, donations, special events and year round fundraising are used for this purpose and for the operational costs associated with managing the Filberg Park for the community to enjoy.
