DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:<p>NIC&rsquo;s student run-restaurant at the Campbell River campus opens October 30 with delicious five-course meals.<br /><br />Guests at the Third Course Bistro will be able to enjoy New York steak, phyllo-wrapped salmon, grilled vegetable and pumpkin seed appetizers and scrumptious desserts while supporting NIC students.<br /><br />&ldquo;It&rsquo;s been an exciting fall in the NIC kitchens,&rdquo; says Chef Instructor Christine Lilyholm. &ldquo;NIC&rsquo;s Food Fundamentals course was launched in September and tourism and hospitality students have been bringing their cooking skills to life for the dining room opening. It&rsquo;s amazing to see their growth and success.&rdquo;<br /><br />The fall 2015 menu brings back menu favorites and adds adventure with stuffed portabella mushrooms and the special chef&rsquo;s choice five-course meal. Each week, students will also plan and create a pasta dish as a class assignment. For dessert, try a classic chai cr&egrave;me br&ucirc;l&eacute;e, a zesty lemon tart or a decadent double chocolate brownie.<br /><br />But act quickly, the Bistro is open four Fridays this fall and seating is extremely limited.<br /><br />It opens 5:30 to 7:30 pm, Friday Oct 30, Nov 6, Nov 13 and Nov 27.<br /><br />Full menus will be available at <a href="http://www.nic.bc.ca/bistro">www.nic.bc.ca/bistro</a>.
