<p>You might even get the chance to carefully feel a tiny hummingbird's fluttering heartbeat! Buttertubs Marsh is a reclaimed wetland within Nanaimo&rsquo;s city limits. VIU Biologist and nature mentor Dr. Eric Demers has been banding and studying birds here with a team of researchers for years, and we will be able to learn about migrating and breeding birds as we see them up close!</p>=0D=0A=
<p>Meet at the parking lot along Venuti way, and remember to bring rubber boots as the area is muddy at this time of year.</p>
