Spring is here! It’s once again time for the Nanaimo Community Gardens Society (NCGS) to hold its Annual General Meeting to get ready for the growing season ahead.
=0D=0A=All interested community members are invited to attend the Society’s AGM on Sunday Feb 26th from 2:30 to 3:30pm to learn more about how to participate in programs and activities such as gleaning, greenhouse growing and hands-on gardening. The event will include a presentation and report on society programs and activities from 2016 and the presentation of the 2017 budget.
=0D=0A=The society wants to thank all volunteers for their hard work in 2016 and thank all sponsors who aided in the construction of the greenhouse. This is an opportunity for the public and NCGS members to meet with directors and volunteers. There will be opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback.
=0D=0A=This year there will be 4 vacancies on the board of directors. This is a great opportunity for someone to become involved with the society at the decision making level. This is also an ideal way for current members and volunteers to learn more about how their society operates. Those considering this prospect should contact info@nanaimocommunitygardens.ca.
=0D=0A=To learn about society activities and programs, talk with other volunteers, meet to the directors, stand for the board or to renew your membership, attend the AGM Sunday Feb 26th from 2:30 to 3:30pm at Nanaimo Association for Community Living (NACL) at 60 Victoria Crescent. Everyone is welcome. Refreshments provided.
