DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:<p>Imagine yourself to be in an 18th century concert hall in the presence of George Frederic Handel, or at an emotional commemoration of the tragedy at the the 1972 Munich Olympics.&nbsp; For "<strong>Peace and Pleasure", </strong>the Nanaimo chamber Orchestra will take you to places of the heart with Handel's Baroque <em>Concerto Grosso VI</em> and John Williams' modern <em>A Prayer for Peace.</em>&nbsp; As well, the program includes the evocative <em>Impromptu </em>by jaean Sibelius, Max Reger's chromatic <em>Weihnachten (Christmas)</em> and American composer, Arthur Foote's early 20th century light classical <em>Suite in E Major.</em></p>=0D=0A=
<p>The NCO is pleased, also, to feature bassoonist, KatrinaRussell, to play Johann Neruda's <em>Concerto in C Major for Bassoon</em>.&nbsp; Katrina is a member of the Victoria Baroque Players who have played several times in Nanaimo.</p>=0D=0A=
<p>Under the direction of violinist, Karl Rainer, the NCO continues to evolve, mature and present great music to Nanaimo audiences.</p>
