Lorelie's books are important to read because the characters are just ordinary people, similar to you and me. They focus on addiction, relationships and life. We all experience hurt and disappointment and difficulties within families, or at our jobs. We all know how to put on a 'brave face,' while on the inside, we're hurting. If you hurt long enough, it changes you, and not for the good.=0D=0A=

Rozzano's goals with these books is to begin a conversation about addiction. Communication is key to overcoming obstacles. Any obstacles. Willingness and an understanding of the role we play, in everything we do, is a powerful tool in changing a situation that is no longer working for us. It seems we've lost the ability to really work through things anymore. Many marriages fail because one, or both parties, fail to communicate their needs to each other. It's easy to feel angry and resentful. It's easy to stay stuck, or play the victim.... But Rozzano wants people to know there's a much healthier way to live, one that empowers individuals and family members.=0D=0A=

Lorelie Rozzano is an author, mother, grandmother and family counselor for Edgewood Treatment Centre in Nanaimo, BC. She works a program of recovery herself, and really understands, first-hand, the benefits of healthy families. She began working at Edgewood in 1998 and has had the privilege of working with both patients and their families. In the past few of years, Lorelie has written two fiction books: Gracie's Secret, Jagged Little Edge and now, Jagged Little Lies. Lorelie hopes the honesty found in her books will help those dealing with addictions - the individual, families, co-workers and anyone who cares about the well-being of other humans. =0D=0A=
