Saturday Studio Expands!
=0D=0A=Starting September 12, Art Lab will offer two Saturday Studio sessions tailored to kids ages 5-7 and 8-12.
=0D=0A=In conjunction with the Gallery’s fall exhibition Silva Part I: O Horizon, we’ll take the forest as our point of inspiration for creative, hands-on activities.
=0D=0A=Every Saturday | Starting Sept 12 Ages 5-7: 9:30 am – 10:30 am Ages 8-12: 11:00 am – 12:30 pm

=0D=0A=September 12 – Fantasy Forests
=0D=0A=Celebrate our forests as we take a closer look and experiment with watercolours and permanent marker. Using washes of colour, dripping and layers we’ll create loose, spikey, wild forests and the creatures within!
=0D=0A=September 19 – Macro Flora
=0D=0A=Bring in your forest floor specimens as inspiration for our oil pastel works on paper. We will magnify the flora from the forest floor and create our own larger than life interpretations of the intricate lichens, mosses, & sedges that grow there.
=0D=0A=September 26 – Pinch Pot Critters
=0D=0A=We will hand-build simple clay pinch pots and then transform them into forest critters by adding features such as faces, wings, tails, feet and other details. We will also add leaves and twigs to further embellish and bring to life our forest critters.
=0D=0A=Do you have a LEAP card? Your child may be eligible for a bursary. Two LEAP spots are available each week; one per family. Each family is welcome to use up to 2 LEAP spots per month. Maximum program enrolment is 16 students. All phone reservations must be paid prior to 5 pm the Friday before Saturday Studio. Walk-in payments are accepted until 10:15 am Saturday, if space allows.
