=0D=0A=Art Lab offers two Saturday Studio sessions tailored to kids ages 5-7 and 8-12.
=0D=0A=Explorative hands-on workshops feature creative activities to inspire and challenge your kids. These art-making adventures support young learners to experiment with themes and materials, learn new techniques, and connect with artists.

=0D=0A=May 19 - Paper Dolls in Action
=0D=0A=Saturday Studio kids will make posable paper dolls based on artist Allison Hrabluik video This Is The Way They Make Us Bend in our exhibition Fulhame's Map. We will draw bodies and limbs for our figures, fasten them together and choreograph a series of fun poses to create a collaborative photo story. Our paper dolls will bend, flex, dance and move for the camera!
=0D=0A=May 26 - Art Explore with Teens!
=0D=0A=Teens from Code Switching will take over Art Lab for their year-end exhibition that considers the question: How Can We Speak Differently? Saturday Studio kids will join the teens in an investigation of their exhibition which will feature explorations in sculpture, drawing, photography, video, creative writing and sound art. Meaningful connections, writing and drawing activities will be mentored by the youth!
=0D=0A=Do you have a LEAP card? Your child may be eligible for a bursary. Two LEAP spots are available each week; one per family. Each family is welcome to use up to 2 LEAP spots per month. Maximum program enrollment is 12 students. All phone reservations must be paid prior to 5 pm the Friday before Saturday Studio. Walk-in payments are accepted until 10:15 am Saturday if space allows.
