Saturday, April 11 | Charcoal Explorations
Messy mark making with various types of charcoal using the works of artists Emily Carr and Marguerite Stix as inspiration. We will experiment with various lines and textures and use the eraser as a tool to ready ourselves for some still life sketches!

=0D=0A=Stabiles are modern stationary and colourful abstract sculptures invented by Alexander Calder. This week we will play with form, shape and the 3rd dimension and create our own stabiles using various material such as wire, foam and paint.
=0D=0A=Saturday, April 25 | The Colours of Music
=0D=0A=What is the colour of one hand clapping? What about the shape? Is it a blue bolt? A white whirl? This week at Saturday Studio, mix together the mediums of sound and sight to create a musically-inspired mixed media painting. With artist Wassily Kandinsky serving as our inspiration, use tempera paints and collage to create the colours of music.
