=0D=0A=Is your child signed up for band this September? Want to start the school year on the right note? Join Flavio (retired) band teacher, woodwind, brass, and percussion specialist in a fun, small-group setting and learn everything you need to know about your instrument. During the 2 music sessions, master teacher Flavio Cianflone of the Music Chord of Nanaimo (www.themusicchord.com) will offer 2 “Band Boot Camps”, (Beginner and Advanced) at The Music Chord studio band room, (5871 Shadow Mountain Road in North Nanaimo). Rental instruments are available from Tom Lee Music, North Nanaimo (ask for Scott, Product Manager, 250-390-2626 or Carolyn, Store Manager 250-390-2626).
=0D=0A=1.) BEGINNER BAND BOOT CAMP The beginner workshop is structured for any beginning flute, clarinet, or saxophone student, no experience is necessary! DATES: Monday (August 21) and Thursday (August 24) TIME: 10:00 a.m.-11:00a.m. COST: $45.00 for 2 sessions (maximum of 6 students)
=0D=0A=2.) ADVANCED BAND BOOT CAMP The advanced class is structured for students with at least one year of playing experience or who are considering switching to flute, clarinet or saxophone this fall. DATES: Monday (August 21) and Thursday (August 24)
