Mt Finlayson Madness is an annual charity event that takes place on Mt Finlayson in Goldstream Park, near Victoria, BC. The event is scheduled to take place on the second Saturday of each July from 2012-2016. Our next event is planned for Saturday July 11th 2015, and runs from 8am - 8pm.

There are several ways you can take part. You only have to do the hike once to be included in the event, and it doesn't matter how long it takes you (as long as it's less than 12 hours!) If you don't want to hike to the top, or if you have small children you'd like to bring and the rocky section makes you nervous you can join our 'Half mad' event where you only have to hike halfway up the mountain. This is also ideal for those with mild injuries that might prevent them going all the way. And, for the hard core hikers, you can stay all day and do as many hikes as you can within the 12 hours of the event. We would love to have as many people as possible take part and 100 people doing it just once is better than 10 people doing it 10 times!

Mt Finlayson is the second highest mountain in the Capital Region District at 419m. The hike up Mt Finlayson is far steeper and challenging than other nearby mountains which is why it was chosen for this event.
