<p style="text-align: left;" align="CENTER">Many of us&nbsp;are self-critical and have an inernal dialogue&nbsp;that is forever measuring ourselves against some idealized way we think we should be and feel. &nbsp;We use self-criticism to motivate ourselves and worry that if we were kind to ourselves, we might just wallow in self-pity and never get anything done.</p>=0D=0A=
<p style="text-align: left;" align="CENTER">Well the research shows that is not true. &nbsp;In fact, learning to treat ourselves with kindness when we are suffering - offering ourselves compassion - has been proven by over 400 studies to improve health and wellbeing and is actually a much more motivator that self-critciism.</p>=0D=0A=
<p style="text-align: left;" align="CENTER"><strong>Mindful</strong><strong>&nbsp;Self-</strong><strong>Compassion</strong><strong>&nbsp;Training<br /></strong>is a 9 session course that will give you the skills and practices to quit being so hard on yourself,&nbsp;to motivate yourself with kindness, and to develop a better relationship with yourself and others.</p>=0D=0A=
<p lang="en-CA" style="text-align: left;" align="CENTER">New research in the areas of neurobiology, compassion and mindfulness&nbsp;show that there are practices that can boost our immune system,&nbsp;promote resiliency, and offer protection against compassion fatigue&nbsp;&mdash;including burnout and secondary traumatization.</p>=0D=0A=
<p lang="en-CA" style="text-align: left;" align="CENTER"><strong>Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC</strong>)<br />is a research based program developed at University of California San Diego.<br />You will learn over 25 simple, sustainable ways to call on your own inner resources&nbsp;to soothe yourself in times of stress or pain.</p>=0D=0A=

<p lang="en-CA" style="text-align: left;" align="LEFT">The 9 session skill building program includes a half day meditation retreat. &nbsp;Program starts Monday February 1st, 2016 and runs for 8 consecutive Monday evenings. &nbsp;On Sunday March 6th, 2016 there will also be a 1/2 day silent retreat at Bethlehem Retreat Centre.&nbsp;</p>=0D=0A=
