Bring a friend, your family or your group. Find an empty spot anywhere along Cliffe Avenue between 8th and 21st Streets, and start planting! Bring your own gloves and a trowel or spoon for digging. For your safety and enjoyment, please plant safely from the sidewalk, not on the roadside. =0D=0A=

The Mile of Flowers was started by "Kath" Kirk, who was inspired by a visit to the “Garden of Greetings” in Brighton, England. That year she planted and nurtured 7,800 seedlings as a welcome to tourists and as a contribution to the Centennial Year. What started out as the initiative of one woman has grown into a beloved annual tradition. Each year, volunteers plant over 35,000 seedlings.=0D=0A=
