Join us in Black Creek to celebrate the longest day of 2016 & welcome summer at the 3rd Annual Mid Summer Festival. Gates open at 3:00 PM. Rain or Shine. (We're hoping for Shine) Entry by Donation. Proceeds support the Black Creek Community Association.
=0D=0A=This community, family-friendly festival will have a hint of whimsy! Entertainment. Live Music. Vendors. Food. Outdoor Games. Arts. Petting Zoo. Pony Rides. Beverage Garden. Festival Highlights: ~25+ Craft & Artisan Vendors plus community group displays and demos. ~Live Music!
=0D=0A=Multiple performers of diverse styles including: Sunday Dennis; Ryks Davies (Comox Valley's youngest busker); Cedar Spoon; Barb & David Denz; Tom Benson & Friends; Brian Ingle; and a community jam session. ~ Animals! Tsolum Veterinary Health will host a petting zoo between 3-7pm (free) and Given'r Ranch will offer horse rides at $5 a child.
=0D=0A=~ Hoopy Hour! Join Island Hula Hoopla for an hour of games & fun 4-5pm
=0D=0A=~ Food! Bring a picnic blanket and grab a bite from a food truck or grill.
=0D=0A=~ Fun! A variety of field games for all ages will be available from giant jenga to stilts!
=0D=0A=Where? The Black Creek Community Centre, 2001 Black Creek Road. Parking on site is limited with back up parking a short, 5 minute walk away.
=0D=0A=To Bring: ~ A picnic blanket for hanging out in our fabulous field; ~ A water bottle to fill at the Water Pure & Simple water stations; ~ Clothing for weather of the day (Rain or Shine); ~ Your fun pants for playing field games and Hoopy Hour; ~ Your musical talent for the 8pm Community Jam Session; ~ Car pooling! Our main parking lot will fill up quickly. Alternate parking will be avilable 500m/ 5 minute walk from the festival's grounds. A drop off area will be available.
