The Duncan Skating Club has been selected to host the 2001 Lynn Hetherington Memorial Competition. This is the largest competition available to Vancouver Island figure skaters

There will be 400 skaters, representing 17 Vancouver Island Skating Clubs, with skaters of all ages will be participating.

This competition showcases all the different skating disciplines such as Freeskate, Pairs, Interpretive, Special Olympics and Teams of 4.

It is also a qualifying competition for those skaters moving on to the Pacific Skate Competition in Cranbrook, British Columbia in early March.

There will be skating vendors, some great gift baskets being raffled off, 50/50 draws throughout the competition and is also a great way to check out if your child would like to become involved in skating.

We expect a great weekend of skating. Lots of experienced skaters skating on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, some very cute younger skaters in the morning and special olympics skaters in the afternoon.

Admission is by donation. Come out to enjoy a great weekend of skating and to support your Vancouver Island skaters !!!
