DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:<p>A traditional loom was made out of a green branch and&nbsp;two pieces of leather stretched from one end of a branch to the other.&nbsp; A needle is then used to attach the beads.&nbsp; When complete, the threads are cut and tied.&nbsp; The beaded piece can be sewn onto articles of clothing or used to make a bracelet.&nbsp; Today's beadwork is most often found on the yokes and cuffs of jackets or vests, gloves, mittens, pouches, and moccasins.</p>=0D=0A=

<p>The&nbsp;NANAIMO BEADING CIRCLE&nbsp;and&nbsp;MID ISLAND METIS NATION&nbsp;are holding a loom beading workshop&nbsp;on&nbsp;the second level of the Downtown Public Library.&nbsp; The cost is fixed but does have a sliding scale.&nbsp; Looms and materials supplied.&nbsp; You are welcome to bring your own beads if you would like to work on your own piece.</p>=0D=0A=
