The Lonely Heartstring Band is a five-piece band (fiddle, guitar, mandolin, banjo, bass) from Boston that performs a mix of original and traditional tunes from the old-time, bluegrass, folk, and jazz traditions.
=0D=0A=Young and exciting with a wide range of lyrical and complex instrumental tunes, this award-winning band (IBMA 2015 Momentum Award winner) are developing a solid following in the East Coast American acoustic scene.
=0D=0A=Four of the members of the band (Patrick M’Gonigle, Gabe Hirshfeld, Matt Witler and George Clements) met while studying at Boston’s Berklee College of Music. The fifth member, Charles Clements, is a graduate of the New England Conservatory and the Manhatten School of Music.
=0D=0A=This concert is part of their summer 2107 tour. In addition to promoting their 2016 Rounder Records CD, “Deep Waters,” they will be featuring new tunes planned for the next Rounder CD (they go into the recording studio this fall).
