DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:<p>Anger is a natural, adaptive response to threats; it inspires powerful, often aggressive, feelings and behaviours, which allow us to fight and to defend ourselves when we are attacked. A certain amount of anger, therefore, is necessary to our survival.<br /><br />On the other hand, we can't physically lash out at every person or object that irritates or annoys us -laws, social norms, and common sense place limits on how far our anger can take us.<br /><br />Remaining calm, professional, and empathetic when dealing with angry colleagues, customers and personal relationships is difficult for any of us, but there are skills that can be used to help us manage our own anger, express our frustration and anger effectively, as well as defuse anger in others and re-establish effective dialogue.<br /><br />Participants will be exposed to theory; techniques and approaches for effectively managing defensive, angry feelings and behaviours, including self-management strategies, as well as strategies to defuse, set limits and disengage.<br /><br />Stacey Holloway is an acknowledged and skilled interventionist in the field of Organizational Development and Human Relations consulting. She is one of the Senior Consultants with the Holloway Zaiser Group and focuses her talents and energy on the development of people and teams as they prepare for, lead and experience change. She is the author of a comprehensive high school resource entitled &ldquo;Interpersonal Conflict Resolution Skills for Youth&rdquo;.<br /><br />In addition, she is one of the most in-demand trainers and keynote speakers in Canada.&nbsp; She has conducted seminars forthousands of organizations internationally.&nbsp; Her active, participatory presentations are charged with energy, humour and creativity.<br /><br />Stacey has a degree from the University of British Columbia and is a Senior Trainer at the Justice Institute of B.C.<br /><br />Tickets: $37.50 / Groups: 10 for $350 or 30 for $1000</p>=0D=0A=
