<p>Four days of percussion workshops over the Family Day long weekend. This is a chance to immerse yourself in rhythm &ndash; a musical vacation! </p>=0D=0A=
<p>There are various workshops per day and each is between 1.5 and 2 hours long.You are welcome to mix and match workshops &ndash; take as many or as few as you like.</p>=0D=0A=
<p>Many of the workshops feature instruments or rhythms not taught in the weekly classes. You can take as few as one workshop, or as many as all four days. </p>=0D=0A=
<p>The workshops are open to all levels of playing experience. </p>=0D=0A=
<p>Instruments are provided for all workshops, including hand drums, krins, bass drums, bells, shakers, tambourines, bongos and xylophones.</p>=0D=0A=
<p>You can learn on a variety of different instruments. Here's more info:</p>=0D=0A=
<p>&bull; Congas are Latin rhythms hand drums that come in three sizes.</p>=0D=0A=
<p>&bull; Surdos are a set of bass drums played with mallets that are part of the samba ensemble &bull; Kata are slit drums carved out of logs and played with sticks.</p>=0D=0A=
<p>&bull; Balafon is a West African traditional xylophone with gourd resonators.</p>=0D=0A=
<p>&bull; Cajon is a wooden box drum played in Latin music.</p>=0D=0A=
<p>&bull; Shekere is a shaker made out of a hollowed-out gourd</p>=0D=0A=
<p>&bull; Campana are different sizes of cowbells played with sticks</p>=0D=0A=
<p>&bull; Ago-go are Brazilian double or triple bells played with sticks</p>=0D=0A=
