Sway to the sounds of ukulele strings during a free recital at the Royal British Columbia Museum on Saturday, May 21. The Langley Ukulele Ensemble is now in its 35th year – 32 years under the direction of Peter Luongo, and, for the past three years, under the direction of Paul Luongo. The Sr. B ensemble consists of 17 ensemble members ranging from ages ten to fifteen years old.
=0D=0A=The Sr. B’s perform throughout the lower mainland; furthermore, with these performances, the ensemble raises its funds to travel to parts of British Columbia, such as Kelowna and Victoria, to share their gift of music with schools and community members. The Sr. B’s repertoire ranges from folk music to international music to pop and rock songs from the 1950s all the way to the 1980s.
