The Ladysmith Fine Arts Show is known for exhibiting original, thought provoking and high quality artwork that inspires and excites audiences. Artists from all over Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands submit artwork in three categories, 2D, 3D and photography which then juried. Winners are chosen for each category as well as a selection of work that will be shown in the special exhibition.
=0D=0A=This year presented a few challenges, but artists from all over responded to our call for artwork and we had an overwhelming number of submissions. We would like to celebrate and congratulate all participants and our winners. =0D=0A=This event will be hosted by artist and TEDx speaker Sheila Norgate from Gabriola Island. We will announce of winners in each category as well as our Best in Show winner who walks away with $1000 sponsored by the Ladysmith & District Credit Union. After the opening reception and awards ceremony, everyone is invited to view the special exhibition on our website from February 5 to March 31, 2021.
