The trio began developing their definitively dark and otherworldly sound in 2014, over many late nights of brainstorming and recording scratch tracks in their artist-driven neighbourhood of Fernwood, Victoria, BC. Their debut EP, released on Halloween of 2014, received rave reviews. Victoria is not a city known for its nightlife, but its nights alive with afterlife. It&rsquo;s a place bursting with folklore, magic, and hauntings of a colonial history, all which fuel Cathedral Bloom&rsquo;s sound. The group find themselves in a very ambiguous category within hip-hop.
