Created by Denise Goldbeck, Kids In The Spotlight (KITS) involves children, youth, and parents.&nbsp; Children learn social development and self-discovery; youth undergo Youth Leadership Training; and parents attend informational sessions. Lessons like boundaries, communication, sibling relationships, parent-child relationships, and self-responsibility, are just some of the few lessons taught.</p>=0D=0A=
<p>The lessons are subtle -- delivered through the effort of a multi-age group of children as they cooperate to produce and perform a musical show at the end of the 5 day program.</p>=0D=0A=

Use is made of theatre, music, dance, drama, and stage creation to facilitate group cooperation and learning. Older children support younger children in dances, songs, and dramatic scenes. Youth Interns assist with the program and act as role models for younger participants.</p>=0D=0A=
