Even if you don't immediately recognize the name Jeff Hamilton, you're sure to recognize his music. The American jazz drummer is best known for his work with jazz greats like Diana Krall, Oscar Peterson, Ray Brown and many others. Most recently the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra was nominated for a Grammy for Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album.
=0D=0A=Vancouver Island music fans will get a rare chance to see Jeff play live when he brings the Jeff Hamilton Trio to headline the annual Jazz Affair on the Coast gala at the Coast Bastion Inn on Friday, May 29.
=0D=0A=Hamilton's trio will be the highlight of the evening, but is far from the only outstanding act on the bill. The amazing 10-piece jazz band Decadence will be on hand, as will some of Nanaimo's best young jazz musicians.

=0D=0A=In addition to the outstanding entertainment, attendees will enjoy a gourmet dinner, browse through amazing silent auction items and have a chance to try their luck in raffles.
=0D=0A=There are fewer than 200 tickets available, and based on previous years' experience, this event is guaranteed to be an early sellout. Tickets are just $60 and are only available through the Port Theatre.
