URL:http://www.harbourliving.ca/event/japanese-woodblock-print-kimono-show-opening-reception/
LOCATION:Island Savings Centre :: 2687 James St Duncan,
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:<p>Japanese woodblock print kimonos will be displayed during the opening reception with Japanese dyeing Master Tetsuo Koyama, who has been creating woodblock print kimonos for more than 60 years. Japanese woodblock print was started in the 8th century but almost died out by the 18th century. In 20th century Master Koyama restored and developed the technique, and he creates his own contemporary kimonos. His kimonos represent both the newest and the oldest of Japanese authentic dyeing art.</p>
