Undiscovered Photography and Games and Grounds Coffee House are proud to bring you: InCON Family Gaming Convention - a weekend filled with a variety of geekish delights! Lots to SEE: from panels to demos + lots to DO: from tournaments to a costume contest. Even the Vendors have to bring ‘geek’ to their tables!
=0D=0A=COSPLAYERS will be excited to see our cosplay guests Dayna Baby Lou, Tara-Rex Cosplay and North Pacific Cosplay, who will be judging the Cosplay Costume Contest and providing cosplay-related panels. Back by popular demand is Spartan Longshot-X as Master Chief. Representing the GAMING WORLD will be Special Guests Dave Gaider and Randy Mosiondz, bringing insight and information about writing and designing games in today’s marketplace.
=0D=0A=Convention attendees will have opportunities to have professional photos taken with, gain knowledge and ask questions during panel sessions, and even visit the merchandise tables from a number of these awesome guests. This year TOURNAMENT play has expanded, and will include: Magic: The Gathering, Warhammer Fantasy and 40K, Warmachine/Hordes, League of Legends, Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart 8, Dominion, Ticket to Ride, Settlers of Catan and Lords of Waterdeep.
=0D=0A=Along with a Family Board Game area where attendees can sign out and actually play games, there will be a number of GAME DEMOS to introduce folks to different types of gaming that are ‘out there’ to enjoy. In the room beside these activities will be the KIDS’ FAIR - open from 10am - 2pm each day. And while you are taking everything in, have some fun doing our geek themed BINGO game! For those old school gamers, there is a RETRO CONSOLE GAMING AREA - where there will be games to play and even a few quick tournaments during the day. There are 2 sites for the convention: the Florence Filberg Centre & the Native Sons Hall. Your pass gets you onto both sites, which are separated by a parking lot. Both sites will have yummy food and drink available during the hours of the convention. EARLY NERD SALES of Day and Weekend Convention Passes and Tournament Add-ons are available from the InCON website or at Games and Grounds Coffee House.
=0D=0A=All tournaments have a limited amount of spaces, so pre-registration is advised to avoid disappointment. There will be space for drop-in MTG Booster Drafts during the day. Cost at the door is higher, so save your $$ and purchase prior to the event! Please note that there will be an ATM on-site at the Florence Filberg Centre.
