DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:<p>Distances range from a 50m swim, 2K bike and 500m run to a 300m swim, 10K bike and 3K run dependant on age. There is a junior relay for athletes 6 to 11 and a senior relay for athletes 12 to17.<br /><br />All finishers will receive an official Westshore Youth Triathlon finisher&rsquo;s medal.&nbsp; Ribbons will be awarded to the top five finishers in each category.</p>=0D=0A=
<p>Male/Female 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-17.<br /><br />There is a junior relay for athletes 6 to 11 and a senior relay for athletes 12-17.<br /><br />Relay teams may include athletes of each gender.&nbsp; A relay team may have one athlete younger than the specified age for the category.<br /><br />Age categories are determined by the participant&rsquo;s age on December 31 of the race year.</p>=0D=0A=
<p>The swim takes place in the 25m pool at the Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre.<br /><br />The bike course is an out and back course on paved roads within the park. The bike course is well marshalled and closed to traffic.<br /><br />The run course is on the chip trail in the park.&nbsp; There is no traffic on the run course.</p>=0D=0A=
