This workshop is designed for parents, guardians, professionals, and volunteers who are looking to support school-aged children through a time of grief and loss pertaining to a death. Through interactive discussion and learning, individuals will be able to identify signs and characteristics that often indicate a child is grieving while also becoming educated on how to respond in a proactive matter.
=0D=0A=Cady Brockman (BA CYC) has used her educational background and passion to work in array of environments such as Alberta Children’s Hospital, Footholds Therapy Centre, Nanaimo Youth Services, and at Eureka Camp Society – an outdoor summer camp for children and youth with invisible disabilities. Honoring the uniqueness and individuality of every child and their family, Cady holds the space for various means of expression and emotional regulation as individuals journey through their grief in an safe and supportive manner.
