In recognition of Prevention of Violence Against Women Week April 17th – 23rd Warmland Women’s Support Services Society proudly supports Social Justice Duncan United Church for the film screening of “Honor Diaries – Culture is No Excuse for Abuse”, an award winning documentary in which 9 Muslim women’s rights advocates discuss gender-based inequality and violence in the Muslim-majority societies of which they are part.
=0D=0A=Acknowledging honour violence as “systematic, institutionalized misogyny”, Honor Diaries is the first film to break the silence on honour violence against women and girls. Honor Diaries is more than a movie, it is a movement to save women and girls from human rights abuses around the world.
