Dr Bridge will present the results of her recent research trip concerning Emily Carr and the five years she spent in England (1899-1904) pursuing her artistic training. It centres on three key records in the BC Archives holdings, but discusses how they mesh with records held elsewhere. Looking for new meanings between the lines in these key records allows us to more accurately comprehend this pivotal period in Carr’s life.=0D=0A=
