Nanaimo-Ladysmith Schools Foundation (NLSF) is bringing back its popular holiday craft fair for the third year. If someone on your list would appreciate a unique handmade gift, check out “Handmade for the Holidays!"
=0D=0A=“We’re really pleased with the response we’ve had to our holiday craft market,” said Crystal Dennison, Executive Director of NLSF. “People bring the whole family to find a unique gift, support local artisans and enjoy a day out. With over 90 vendors, we have something for everyone!”
=0D=0A=Entrance is free, though donations will be taken at the door. While adults browse crafts like handmade cards, decorations, scarves, jewelry, soap and candles, children can head to a special station to write a letter to Santa which they can take home for their own hearth or leave to be mailed to the North Pole.
=0D=0A=Food trucks will be on site for hungry shoppers, and raffles will be held for a variety of gift baskets, many with items donated by the vendors. Proceeds from the entrance donations, table rentals and raffles will benefit the NLSF’s student support program to help local school children living in poverty.
=0D=0A=“The holiday season is the perfect time to find ways to give back,” said Dennison. “Not only is shopping locally good for our communities, finding something handmade for the holidays at our craft market helps us meet the needs of vulnerable children.”
