About the Speakers: =0D=0A=

Michael McWilliam is a PhD Candidate researching wind turbine design optimization with Dr. Curran Crawford at the University of Victoria whose team focuses on renewable energy, wind and marine turbines, energy systems and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles. Michael specializes in wind turbine aerodynamics and structural mechanics applying multi-disciplinary optimization to explore advanced wind turbine design. Michael received his Bachelors and Masters in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Waterloo.=0D=0A=

Brian Arsenault is GDF Suez Energy North America’s Construction Manager for the Cape Scott Wind Farm and has lived in Port Hardy on Vancouver Island’s north coast for the past two and a half years. Brian has been employed building wind farms for the Technical Services group of GDF Suez since 2008. Before that he worked for Maritime Electric, a Fortis owned utility which supplies electricity to PEI. Brian is a registered Professional Engineer both in BC and PEI. =0D=0A=
