=0D=0A=Art Festival acts as a resource and venue to inspire and provide a service for local artists where they can showcase their works, develop their portfolio, and gain funds through auction of their artworks as well as potential commissions for further pieces. Each year we celebrate the unveiling of our new gallery.
=0D=0A=After the new display is revealed, artworks from the previous display come down and are auctioned for the benefit of the artists, as well as youth arts programs. We celebrate arts and art education by hosting live music, BBQ concession, family activities, and also by recognizing our local talent.
=0D=0A=A delight for tourists and local art enthusiasts, “Gallery Row” has been a Nanaimo attraction since the year 2000.
=0D=0A=Gallery Row is an outdoor venue where local artists' creations are mounted on wrought iron frames on the alley walls between Willard Station Building est 1904” and “Ranger Shoes Building est 1918”. See the early 1900s buildings, which have been adorned with ironwork collected and crafted by G.E.M. Fabrications Ltd. of Nanaimo. Nestled within is a collection of shops all unique in character and style. In the gardens and along the alley is an outdoor art gallery.
